Product Development - Product Importing

A large percentage of the work involved in setting up an ecommerce website involves the addition and modification of product data. SearchFit offers a user interface for performing bulk imports of product data. Import an entire category and product structure. This includes everything from categories to product tabs. For those with programming savvy SearchFit provides the ability to import products using web services.

Basic Product Import includes configuring the "Import" screen of the SearchFit Control Panel to import product data supplied in complete format by the client. Importing product data represents a large phase of the website production process. Basic Product Import includes image resizing (of up to 2 images per product) and 301 redirects (if needed).

Product Filters refer to a dynamic menu system that lists filter groups. A filter group is a set of filters, or possible values for a given product attribute. For example, a filter group could be named "Color" and child filters named "Red", "Green" and "Blue". Each filter has a corresponding check box. When a checkbox is checked, the page contents dynamically refresh and display only the products in the store that match the selected filter value(s).

We will configure the Compare Products Settings within your SearchFit Control Panel. We will style the Compare Products Window Using CSS. We will add a Compare Products Checkbox to one product template

We will enable the Inventory Control function on your website. Inventory Control is an important setting that helps assure customers are not disappointed by ordering items that are not available. Different settings are available to determine the ordering process that occurs if an item is out of stock.

We will create the coupons or discounts of your choice using the Coupons and Discounts screen of your SearchFit Control Panel.
