How does SearchFit stack up against the competition? We think we do pretty well.
Bigcommerce offers a consistent ecommerce platform with easy to use responsive templates. It’s user-friendly back-end allows store owners to select a template and easily apply it simplifying the basic ecommerce store web design process. If a new store owner does not have a large budget for design or development, the Bigcommerce template library is a good way to get started. Set up and hosting are included in the monthly fee. It offers a fundamental feature set and includes a sound library of plugins to help some store owners with more specialized needs.
If you are looking to step up your ecommerce game, SearchFit is a better choice over Bigcommerce.
Although Bigcommerce comes with a fundamental feature set and a number of available, free or paid, plugins, every SearchFit packages comes with every feature. Every SearchFit feature was developed by and supported by SearchFit software engineers. There is no need to work with a 3rd party to try to understand a plugin installation or learn how to configure a complex integration with your ERP. All support and updates come from a single SearchFit source.
For stores that require regularly scheduled tasks such as automatic order exports, scheduled order update imports or automatic product imports, SearchFit offers features that are simple to configure and apply. For instance, if a store owner used an ERP to generate price updates for all or some products SearchFit can fetch that update and apply it regularly. This also works for updating inventory for products including options.
SearchFit allows store owners to configure products and options to create a single combined sku, set UPC numbers and inventory for these combined sku’s all within a single parent product. This works very well with a consistent sku structure and ERP to manage inventory. The ERP can produce an inventory feed for each combined sku and SearchFit can regularly fetch that feed.
SearchFit offers multi-store publishing for store owners who need to publish multiple websites and want to manage them all from a single shopping cart admin panel. Store owners can publish to multiple domain names, sell different products, and use different website templates on each site. Each store can also sell in different currencies, or show different prices, and product descriptions to target different audiences.
*Based on features in both platforms’ premium plans as of March 15 2016.
